Poise.cc

While the skills development process at Poise.cc started when Cinnamon Cooper was 7 years old, the concept of a purse-making empire began after a trip to New Orleans. While staying in a rather eclectic bed and breakfast she encountered the word purse prounounced 'poise' with a soft 's'. The spelling of the word and its other meanings inspired a lady-like vision of calm, pulled together women with perfectly coordinated outfits. And what is the perfect item to coordinate an outfit? A purse, of course.

But not just any purse. Cinnamon focuses on creating fun, but functional, bags that provide sturdy and reliable construction in fun and interesting patterns and prints. Almost every article used in making her bags can be sourced as sweatshop free and consequently almost every item she uses is made in the US by smaller manufacturers. Many of her bags were inspired by a person or place, and consequently Cinnamon donates a portion of her proceeds from most of her bags to specific organizations. She looks forward to unveiling new bags at the 2008 DIY Trunk Show.
