after spending a few years making children, and finally quitting her “real job”, laurie went to her first ‘indie’ craft show (DEPART-ment) in march of 2004. inspired by the amazing goods, she went and bought a kiln and taught herself how to fuse glass. soon after, her business kiku was born. specializing in silkscreened, fused glass necklaces + buckles, she she also makes other fused glass jewelry + accessories, handmade knitting needles, repurposed cashmere clothing and more. she is no longer making children.
