Copper Dragonfly

My copper jewelry, bookmarks, and other gifts were inspired by my tree-hugging tendencies. Plants and animals (especially dragonflies) emerged as silhouettes and implied-line drawings cut into sheets of copper, and my fascination with texture put polishing aside to explore different ways to abrade the metal\'s surface to accomplish both simple and intricate designs. I've expanded my use of wire, semiprecious gemstones and recycled glass beads to give my work a little flair, though kept the simplicity in some designs that needed to stand alone.
