Christina Ward Creatures

All creatures are created in my Milwaukee workspace. The product of my own designs, alterations, re-purposification and demented inspiration; these cuddlies are made with love (and fangs).
My Gramma taught me to “do stuff” during many summers throughout the 1970s. She lived alone on her rural Wisconsin farm sustaining the 'old' ways. She taught me to sew, weave, quilt, can vegetables, make jam. She crocheted monkeys and stitched strange three-legged dogs. Many of her odd little animals and dolls are still with me in my work room; looking over my shoulder and providing constant inspiration.
Featured in Plush You 2009 and Stuffed Magazine.
