Glitter Workshop: Madison, WI
Howdy, everyone. Naomi "The Wonderful" and Heather "The Amazing" of Glitter Workshop in Madison, WI is gearing up for their Craftaculars in November and they're looking for more super-cool vendors. This is a totally DIY business who we are both huge fans of. Here's more info from them:
*****
"Located in Madison, WI, The Glitter Workshop co-owners, Naomi Richardson and Heather Johnson are set on proving that crafts are alive and booming in the 21st century. Along with their own line of housewares, accessories, clothing and jewelry, The Glitter Workshop now features works from over 100 artists from across the globe."
There is a little blurb for ya, and actually, we are planning our next show in our ongoing line of Craftaculars and are starting to look for vendors. The High Noon Craftacular will be on Saturday and Sunday November 25 and 26th at The High Noon Saloon, and interested applicants can email me at naomi@glitterworkshop.com . And, of course, we are always looking for new and exciting vendors for the shop.

Crafty Networking Night
The Chicago Craft Mafia has decided that instead of doing a summer show where we usually only have a handful of non-member vendors we wanted to do something to help out the greater crafting community. So we've decided to put together a networking night at a local restaraunt where crafters can get together to meet each other, have a drink, a bit to eat, and share information about where to order ribbon, how to hire an accountant, how to deal with fabric wholesale purchasing, which boutiques are great to work with, how to handle difficult clients, etc. It's not a massively organized thing. We're not going to be preaching to you, just inviting everyone to gather on a Wednesday night to meet and talk and share and build a network. It is an idea that Amy and I have had since we started the first show. But the show organizing takes so much time that we never really got around to doing it. And since it is easier to do with a large handful of people, the Chicago Craft Mafia took over.
****
Fellow crafters (and friends of crafters),
The Chicago Craft Mafia is pleased to sponsor a crafters' networking night at Uncommon Ground cafe on Wednesday, August 30 from 6 to 9PM. Please join us for an informal evening kicking back, meeting your fellow crafters, talking shop, drinking whiskey (it's Whiskey Wednesday at Uncommon Ground after all!), and have a generally awesome time! Admit it, you've been dying to ask that crafter you've seen at various shows how they shizzle their fizzle (or whatever it is they do). Well, now's yer chance!
Uncommon Ground
3800 N. Clark Street
corner of Clark and Grace
nearest CTA: Addison stop on Red Line

Cost: FREE!!!
Please RSVP by leaving a comment or sending us an e-mail (chicagocraftmafia (AT) yahoo dott com), so we can let the cafe know how many of us to expect.
Hope to see you there!

2006 Vendors
We've made our list, checked it twice, cried over the pile of crafters we don't have room for and are now ready to announce the list of crafters we've chosen for the 2006 show. If you applied, you should have received an email from us either accepting you and giving you instructions or letting you know how sorry we are that we didn't have room for you. And we are sorry. But we're hoping that you'll join us at the show anyway. Because these crafters are amazing. Absolutely amazing.
As we receive their payment we'll be adding their images and information to our Participants page. The first batch will go up later today. We really like this part of the site. It gives shoppers an opportunity to get an idea of what they can find at the show and it gives vendors an idea of who they'll be spending the day with.
