Email addresses
We've gotten a couple of requests from people who have wanted to email vendors who don't have websites. If you like, we're more than happy to include your email address onto your participant page, just email us from the address you want us to list on the site.
We should also let you know that your information will stay up until next May or June when we have to take it down to start getting ready for next year's show. If at anytime you'd like us to take your information down, change it, replace photos, etc., just send an email to (chicago@diytrunkshow.com) and we'll be happy to do it for you.
Since your information will stay up until at least May (we'll email everyone a week or so before the info comes down) feel free to pass out the link.

Canine Clubhouse/pet crafters wanted
I am helping to coordinate a Holiday Pet Bazaar on Saturday, December 4th, from 10am - 2pm at the Wicker Park Field House, 1425 N. Damen, Chicago. We will have vendors who will be selling pet related items to help you with your Holiday Shopping. We will also be serving free refreshments. The entrance fee is $3 for adults, $1 for kids 5 - 17 and free for kids under 5. All the proceeds from the entrance fee and a percantage of the sales from the vendors will be going to the Wicker Park Dog Park Task Force to help pay for cleaning supplies and a future kiosk at the Wicker Park Dog Park.
If you know of anyone who would be interested in being a vendor at this event, please contact me at aliciaobando@sbcglobal.net.
Thanks,
Alicia Obando

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for helping us make this happen. We may have done the organizing, but you are the reason the show was successful and more than twice as big as last year's show. Your creativity and excitement created a wonderful environment for both vendors and shoppers. So, give yourselves a round of applause. You worked hard and you deserve kudos. The park staff was also very impressed with the quick and prompt break down of everyone's booth. We were out about five minutes early, which is incredibly impressive considering how many people needed to get out of the space.
We're grateful we got the chance to do this and are 99% sure we'll be able to do one next year at this time. You'll hear from us in 5 or 6 months when we're ready to start planning for the next show. In the meantime, we'd love it if you could help us by giving us some info to help us make next year's show even better. Click "more" to fill out a brief questionnaire.
If you'd like to leave an anonymous post feel free, but please indicate which room you were in. We're not interested in tracking you down, just interested in having a reference for compliments as well as criticisms. If you'd prefer to respond in private, send us an e-mail: chicago@diytrunkshow.com

24 hours
In about 24 hours the DIY Trunk Show will begin. More than 80 vendors will be sitting at their booths with large smiles on their face and they'll have several months of hard work placed on the table before them.
Looking at all those booths can be hard work, so to keep you fueled up for a long day, Ann Sather's will have a limited breakfast and lunch menu available.
We'd like to thank Gapers Block, PISTIL, Venus, and WLUW for helping us get the word out. We'd also like to thank the Chicago Reader for choosing Bad Kitten Soaps to represent the DIY Trunk Show on the front page of Section 2. We've received a number of links from several other websites and we've been included in several newsletters and we're very appreciative of all of you. You represent the DIY ethic in this beautiful city and we salute you.

The final countdown!
Just a week left! Are you getting so excited that sometimes you get the shakes and you just need to eat an entire bowl of mashed potatoes and then lie down for a while? Me too!
We've been getting a lot of traffic and some press coverage, so I want to post the basics again for any new visitors:
DIY Trunk Show
Saturday, Nov. 13
Pulaski Park Fieldhouse
1419 W. Blackhawk (just north of Division and east of Ashland)
Hours: 10:00 am - 4:30 pm
Admission is free
More info about the show here and here.
We're getting some good press for the show, including a Best Bet listing on Metromix (and possibly a mention in next week's Tribune Friday section) and a listing in next week's Flavorpill newsletter. I've also done some other interviews, and I'll post links to those articles when they come out.
We still need some volunteers for show day, so if you or someone you love can fill one of these slots, leave a comment.
