Cost
For 2008, entry and participation costs $50. We do not ask for this money up front. Once you have been accepted and given a spot, we will e-mail you with how to proceed.
- Rental of a 40-48 square foot space for the day.
- Chairs as needed. Table rental will be $10 extra this year.
- Promotional materials (postcards, posters, stickers) and advertising in:
— Back page of the Chicago Reader (print)
— Gapers Block (online - 4 weeks)
— Venus (print)
— Various other print and online ads to be announced
Procedure & Policy
We'll be accepting applications for the fourth annual DIY Trunk Show from July 1st to July 31st. Fill out the application below (once it is posted) and email us at least two images, or links to images of your work before July 31. If you don't fill out a complete application and if you don't send us photographs, you'll be bumped to the bottom of the list. Even if you've been in the show before, we need to see pictures of items like what you'd like to sell. If you don't email us images, or direct links to images, your application will not be complete. By August 15th we'll be ready to post the final list of vendors and we'll be asking you to submit payment at that time. You'll have until September 15th to get us your payment either via Paypal or check/money order by mail. If you have questions, email diytrunkshow@gmail.com us and we'll respond.
